ABOUT CHANTELLE
I work as a creative director across space, experience, and the way people live.
My background is in interior design, but the work has always extended beyond rooms. Over time it became clear that what I was really shaping was not just space but atmosphere, identity, and experience. How a place feels to enter. How it supports the people who move through it.
How design, culture, and intention come together in everyday life.
That understanding now sits at the centre of everything I do.
The Work
Clarke & Co is a creative direction studio exploring how environments shape the way we live, think, and perform.
The practice works across three areas.
Spatial Identity
Applying design thinking to how environments support clarity, performance, experience, and the way people move through space.
Design Direction
Working across homes, hospitality, and experiential environments to shape spaces that feel cohesive, intentional, and aligned with how they are meant to be lived in and experienced.
Sourcing
Connecting designers, homeowners, and hospitality operators with Bali’s extraordinary craft and maker ecosystem.
Each area is a different expression of the same conviction: that the spaces and objects we surround ourselves with are not passive. They shape how we feel, function, and who we are becoming.

How This Evolved
I began my career designing interiors in Australia before relocating to Bali, where the work naturally expanded through cultural immersion, hospitality projects, and experience-led environments.
Living and working across different places changed how I understood design. It became less about aesthetics in isolation and more about context, pace, and feeling. How culture informs space. How environment shapes behaviour, creativity, and rest. How a room can either support or quietly undermine the person working inside it.
Clarke & Co evolved from that understanding, shifting from traditional interior design into creative direction for space, experience, and spatial identity.

as a Lens
At the core of the work is creative direction.
This means starting with clarity before execution. Defining mood, tone, and intention before making decisions. Understanding how something should feel before deciding how it should look.
That approach applies whether the work is a physical space, a home environment, or a sourcing journey in Bali. It keeps the work grounded, coherent, and adaptable across different contexts.
Now
Today the work spans spatial identity, design direction, and Bali sourcing, with a growing focus on how environments influence experience, performance, identity, and the way we move through everyday life.
I work selectively and with intention, prioritising alignment, depth, and long-term impact over volume.
Creative Direction as a Lens
